The Veterans Day photos and Thanksgiving Lunch at The Max were popular on Twitter and Facebook. An AP story on enrollment numbers led us to a spike in media coverage. We also had a new basketball assistant coach hired, and Dr. Nicholas Creel spoke publicly on several topics. Although the sentiment of our coverage was overall positive, the negatives focused on the drive-by shooting that happened near a Family Day event at Central State and follow up stories to that.

Exact match 2.0 (Georgia College media hits with some athletics)- an estimated $29.599 million with spikes on Nov. 1-5, 8-10, 12, 14, and 22. The large jump we can assume is from women’s basketball playing Tennessee and the publicity from that.
Social Media Highlights
Looking back at November, we had a lot of great content we were able to share on social media. At this point of the year, the fall semester is peaking and there were lots of activities and initiatives that helped signal a return to normal. The Veterans Day photos and Thanksgiving Lunch at The Max were popular on Twitter and Facebook. Fall and Thanksgiving content performed well on Instagram. Some other posts that did well were the US News & World Report and the art gallery post. Looking forward, our metrics for the year should be strong as upcoming commencement and holiday greetings post help us close out 2021.
